Paul Robinson, 49, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1980 with B.S. Degrees in Accounting and Marketing. He has started over 10 businesses over a period of 28 years which include a software development company, a medical equipment provider, a 300 seat state of the art call center, a speech recognition call center service bureau, one of the first true ecommerce companies, an innovative School fundraising company, and a company that offers manufacturers and distributors an alternative to liquidation by using Ebay as the distribution channel.

 

Paul is actively involved in supporting the National Leukemia Society as a national speaker (Paul lost his wife to leukemia at the age of 30). Paul has remarried in 2006 to Tatiana, and he has 2 children – Alex and Justin.

 

 

 

 

 

Highlights of some of the companies and financing history:

 

Dririte of Atlanta, LLC. 2005-Present. Started a water, fire, and smoke restoration company in the Atlanta area that grew to over $3m in revenue in less than 3 years. Dririte is one of the most respected service businesses in Atlanta.

 

 


 

 

Powertrade, Inc. 2004-present – (Atlanta, GA) – Started a company that provided manufacturers and distributors an alternative to inventory liquidation by utilizing ebay as the distribution channel. Customers included: Palm, Home Depot, Nation’s Rent, Mizuno Golf, Pep Boys. Increased sales from $0 to $8M in 3 years.

 


 


Schoolpop.com – 2002-2004 – (Atlanta, GA) – Started a fundraising company that helped local schools raise money by utilizing online shopping. Raised $55M from Accel Partners. Grew company from $0 to over $100M in sales in 3 years. Company went public through a reverse merger in 2004 as Loyaltypoint, Inc. I left company to pursue another opportunity in 2004. Company is still running today but went private.

 


 

 

Netbytel.com – 1999-2002 – (Boca Raton, FL) – Started a speech recognition call center that used computers to answer customer service calls for Dominos, Walmart, Office Depot, etc. Raised $55M in venture capital from Lazurus Ventures. Left company in 2002 due to family issues. Company was later sold to Speechworks for an undisclosed amount.

 


 

Wholesell.com, Inc. – 1997-1999 (Jacksonville, FL) – Started an internet ecommerce site that offered wholesale pricing of computers and electronics to the consumer. Raised $15M in venture capital from Phillips Ventures – sold business to Buy.com in 1999 for an undisclosed amount.

 


 

 

Performance Plus Teleservices – 1995-1997 (Jacksonville, FL) – Started a stand alone 300 seat state of the art telemarketing call center and serviced AT&T for their incalls and outcalls exclusively. Raised $7M in angel capital and sold business for $22M to Telsave, Inc. in 1997.

 


 

 

Innovative Medical Services, Inc. 1991-1995 (Jacksonville, FL) – Started a mobile diagnostic equipment rental company and expanded into stand alone outpatient imaging clinics offering neurology testing, ultrasound, catscans, MRI’s, mammography and xrays. Increased sales from $0 to $7M in 4 years. Raised $6M in angel capital and sold business for $15M to US Diagnostics in 1995.

 


 

 

Entre Computer Systems – 1988-1991 (Lancaster, PA) – Purchased a struggling retail computer retail store that had sales of less than $1M for $500K. Participated as owner/operator and increased sales to $4M in 3 years and sold business for $3M in 1991.

 


 

 

Information Management Systems, Inc. 1981-1988 (Birmingham, AL) – Developer of custom software packages for Contel/Cado computer systems. Packages included: Dental Management System, Radio Broadcast System, and Medical Peer Review System. Marketing packages nationwide through Cado/Contel dealer network and had over 1,900 installations. Raised $4.5M in angel capital and sold business in 1998 for $11M to Tapscan, Inc.
